Please note that the measurements given in the helmet size choices are the internal circumferences. therefor when assesing the size you require you should measure whilst wearing any items you will use with the helmet e.g. an arming cap and or a maille coif. Because of the difference in the shape of the individuals skull it is suggested that a 5cm band of sheep skin can be fixed to the inside of the leather liner to give a snug fit and afford a more cusioning effect during combat.

This fully battle-ready replica of a historical Viking helmet is made from 2 mm steel. The two helmet halves are doubly welded together (from inside and out). The steel brackets as well as the 2 mm spectical section are riveted to the helmet. This type of sturdy workmanship guarantees a robust product, that offers the best possible protection during battle reenactment.

This type of helmet was popular among the Vikings during the 8th and 9th centuries. Chain mail coifs were often worn underneath, or aventails attached to the helmet.
