These helmets were usually accompanied by an arming cap and a
Maille Aventail. We therefore offer the helmet in two sizes with plenty of
room for these items to be worn beneath the helm..
The helmet is constructed from two halves of 2mm steel plate, and welded.
The nasal is made from 3mm thick steel and riveted to the helmet.
This very strong nasal ensures the highest protection during combat.
Included is a riveted, high-quality adjustable leather liner with
chin strap and authentic brass buckle.
Please note that the measurements given in the helmet size choices are the internal circumferences. therefor when assesing the size you require you should measure whilst wearing any items you will use with the helmet e.g. an arming cap and or a maille coif. Because of the difference in the shape of the individuals skull it is suggested that a 5cm band of sheep skin can be fixed to the inside of the leather liner to give a snug fit and afford a more cusioning effect during combat.
