| Coventry Sallet Ref: H/ULF-HM-21 |
| The helmet reminds to the (north-) Italian styled sallets but has a pointed calotte as many English sallets have. The original is dated 1460 AD and can be visited in the The Herbert - Art Gallery and Museum in Coventry. Visored sallets usually were worn by mounted knights and men-at-arms while open face sallets typically were used by foot-soldiers e.g. crossbowmen and archers.
