Baroque Riding Boots, Brown
These boots are perfect for a musketeer. Made from approx. 4 mm thick leather and highly stable frame stitching these boots can be worn up or turned down. The shaft is lined with ruffle on the inside, and a thin cotton lining is also sewn in from the knee downwards. The height of the back is approx. 79 cm from the heel, and approx. 86 cm on the front, which is long enough to reach the middle of the thigh even on taller wearers. The sole is made of several layers of approx. 5 mm thick leather and an additionally glued rubber sole.
You need to get used to the firm fit while accustoming the boots. As with contemporary originals the boots come without distinction from right and left. The boots adapt themselves to the respective foot during the accustoming.
The shoes according to historical patterns may not meet modern requirements
They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete stones and gravel as these floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages!
we therefore recommend wearing pattens (medieval wooden overshoes), insoles or to retrofit them with rubber soles at a cobblers.
