Grappling Hook, handforged steel
Ropes equipped with grappling hooks were used in historical seafaring to fix enemy ships and pull them closer to their own ships, with the aim of finally conquering the enemy.
This replica has three prongs and an approx. 8 mm wide eyelet to attach a rope so that it can be used for suspending ham, sausage or other kinds of food eg. during drying, smoking or simply for safe storage.
The hook is however made of oxidising material, so direct contact with food should be avoided.
