Hymir - Giant Stout - 0.31l bottle
Hymir has a cauldron so big that Aegir, the Nordic brewing god, can drink enough beer to quench the thirst of all the gods. Thor borrowed this cauldron from Hymir and passed it on to Aegir.
Hymir is a particularly strong beer.
Vast amounts of the best barley malt, partly roasted, give this stout the power and darkness that is typical of an Imperial Stout. It is contrasted with fine roasted and chocolate flavours and a balanced bitterness.
The Stout is a strong, deep black, top-fermented and malt-accented beer which roots are in England. It is a derivative of the Porter, and in the 18th and 19th centuries was the dominant beer style among the working class. The Imperial Stout as a strong version of a stout was first brewed in England in the 18th century as a gift for the Russian Czarina Catharina the Great.
