Early Medieval Boots with Toggle Fastening "Jorvik Style"
These ankle boots are based on archaeological finds from the city of York, the former "Jorvik". They are dated between the 9th and 10th century AD a period in which England was divided into several smaller kingdoms. The ankle boots have a very characteristic closure: Two rolled leather toggle buttons which can easily be replaced by bone or horn toggles. The shape of the boot is narrow especially at the toes. We recommend that you choose one size larger if you like to have space in your boots or if you have a wide foot.
