Front Laced Shoe, Late Medieval
Well made reconstruction of a late medieval shoe found in London and dated
circa 1380 AD. These shoes have three laces for fastening at the instep.
The 2mm-thick upper leather is sewn using a turn shoe style edge/flesh butt seam.
The sole is made of several layers of cowhide leather.
Our modern reconstruction allows for an authentic turn-shoe "look", while offering more stability and durability.
The shape of the shoes are narrow especially at the toes.
It is recommend to order one size larger than you would normally take if you have wide feet or if you prefer a little space within the shoe
Strong Upper Leather (approx. 2mm thick)
Nailed Leather Sole, approx. 6mm thick
