Gunpowder Flask- Antiqued
Gunpowder Flask - Antiqued
The use of the Powder Flask goes back to the Middle Ages where they were used to carry gunpowder for early firearms. As firearms became more common during the Renaissance and later periods, so too did the use of the powder flask. They were mainly used for pistols and muskets but would also be used for the priming of large naval guns.
This decorated powder flask is cast from metal and features working parts to open and close the cap. A green cord is attached to hang the flask onto a belt or wall. The flask is designed for ornamental use only.
