Our High Medieval Sword is a replica of a medieval high handed sword with a disc pommel. This type of sword was used by the Normans and during the Crusades, it is made by hand from spring steel oil hardened to approximately 48-50 HRC. The High Medieval Sword has a full tang which is riveted through the pommel in the traditional way, the style of the quillon and pommel are of those found during the time of the Crusades. The blade has a wide fuller which gives the sword great flexibility, the blade tip and the edges are blunt and rounded. The sword comes with a wood scabbard which is covered with leather and has loops that will accept a 5 cm wide belt. The scabbard also has a steel chape.
