Historical Beer Mug 0.5l made of clay with Wooden Lid,Height 14.5cm, Weight 500g
This Beer Mug with a capacity of 0.5L has been hand-thrown at the potter's wheel.
By means of archeological institutes, historical preservation agencies and
museums it was possible to reconstruct this historical mug.
It is made from ochery clay which has been fired at a heat of 1.200°C.
For hygienic reasons the cup has been glazed at the edge. The bottle-green glaze was very “stylish” in the 16th Century.
The cup has a wooden cap fastened with a leather strip. The wood is untreated.
Apart from the cap the cup is dishwasher safe.
