Our Imperial Gallic 'A' (Nijmegen) replicates the earliest model of the Weisenau-type helmet, which stretches over 200 years of development up to the Niedermormter. 
This Imperial Gallic 'A' helmet carries simple but distinct eyebrows which were typical of the Gallic models during the Roman empire, there are ear openings though without the ear guard flaps developed in later models.
The original Imperial Gallic 'A' was found with pottery dated during the reign of Emperor Augustus.

Age determination: late 1st century b.c. through first half of 1st century a.d. 
Manufactured in steel and includes a padded cotton cap.
