Medieval Brigandine, Leather Torso Armour, Medium or Large
Medieval Brigandine, Leather Torso Armour, various sizes
This strong, lightweight torso armour, also known as a brigandine is crafted from 2 mm thick vegetable-tanned leather. The chest and shoulders are reinforced with 2 mm thick leather pads or plates, each securely fastened with four antiqued brass rivets. The material and particular construction do not only give a greater degree of mobility than the metal coat of plates or scale armour, but also add great visual appeal to the piece.
The leather brigantine fastens at the back with five brass-and-leather buckle straps held into position with brass rivets. The back straps are adjustable to size.
This martial looking leather armour lends itself very well as a basis for the representation of a broad array of historical and fictional/fantasy characters. An ideal accessory for Late Medieval re-enactment, LARP, stage or fancy dress.
This high-quality leather cuirass is available in two different sizes.
