Medieval Kragelund Tunic Askur ,Long Sleeved, Flared Skirt, 100% Cotton, 5 Sizes, Colour Wine Red
Medieval Kragelund Tunic Askur, Wine red
This tunic is based on archeological finds dating back to the 11th century although not an exact reproduction.
The Nederfrederiksmose Man, who was also known as Kragelund Man or Fredriksdal Man, was found in 1898 near the locality of Kragelund in Denmark. He was the first bog body photographically documented on the spot where he was found. He wore a tunic, short leather boots and was bare-legged.
Our knee-length tunic is made from cotton canvas and has ornamental stitches which are sewn by hand. The tunic is elaborately finished and designed as an outer garment. So-called gores(wedge-shaped pieces of fabric) inserted into the centre front and back panels and into the side seams give the tunic a flare from the hip down. The sleeves are wide-cut
This tunic is ideal for the portrayal of a Norseman. For an authentic look wear with a leather belt.
