Medieval Knight's Belt Otto von Orlamünde, Leather with Brass Fittings,

                                                                  Black or Dark Brown

This stylish Medieval belt is a reproduction of the belt of Count Otto VI (VII) of Weimar-Orlamünde (Otto VI., Graf von Weimar-Orlamünde, Herr zu Plassenburg & Rudolstadt, 1297-1340) as represented on his true-to-life stone effigy or epitaph, which can be seen in Kloster Himmelkron (his place of burial and former Cistercian monastery in Bavaria, Germany).

The approx. 4 cm wide belt is crafted from 2 mm thick, sturdy leather and is fitted with a round buckle with distinctive prong, a disc-shaped end tip and 14 flower-like rounded crosses. All fittings are made of brass. The belt has an overall length of approx. 146 cm (131 cm without buckle and end tip), does not have any punch holes and is worn "knotted" in true Medieval style. It can thus be adjusted to a comfortable, custom fit and is suitable for a wide range of sizes.

This leather belt is most suited for settings of the High and Late Middle Ages and particularly well-suited for the representation of a 13th or 14th century knight or nobleman.
