All Roman soldiers from the low ranks up to centurions carried their Gladius across their shoulder using a baldric.
This Roman baldric is made of approx. 3 mm thick cowhide. It has authentic brass fittings which have been based on archaeological finds from the Roman castrum (fort/camp) of Zugmantel (Germany).
