The Roman Subarmalia is a padded garment worn underneath armour (Lorica Hamata or Segmentata) which acts like a gambeson. It offers comfort to wearers of roman chainmail or plate armour.
Our Subarmalia has sewn padded strips (lat. pteryges), which build the typical apron.
The Subarmalia can be laced at the sides.
