The "Talhoffer" buckler is well known from Talhoffer's "Fechtbuch" illustrations.
The Buckler was used from the 12th through to the 18th century, as both a defensive and offensive arm. Indispensable in both classical rapier play and I.33 sparring, it has become an essential part of the modern swordsman`s equipment. This version of the Talhoffer buckler is flat with fluting for strength and a reinforced rim.
