Viking Cup- Large- Haithabu 300ml cm made from clay

This Viking cup is based on original finds in Haithabu from the 9th and 10th centuries. Ball pots or bomb pots of this kind were very common in the coastal area to the east.

Haithabu was an important settlement of Danish and Swedish Vikings. It was an important trading hub between Scandinavia and the neighbouring areas up to the Baltic States. Together with the Danewerk, it is one of the most important archaeological sites in Germany and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2018.

This bowl is made in Germany through a complex and lengthy process by hand and thus forms a contrast to many of the imported or machine-made products on the market. The quality, attention to detail and traditional manufacturing methods in this replica are visible and convincing.

Height: approx. 8.5 cm

Weight: approx. 195 g

Circumference, widest point: approx. 28 cm

The bowl has been glazed on the inside for hygienic reasons and is therefore food-safe. The tone is reddish brown.
